新たな知識は増えないけど、代わりに新たなインスピレーションや気付きは発生するのでとても大事にしている。当然理解も深まり言語化もうまくなる。
I also spoke about how great this book is to several people at the Claude Code Meetup Tokyo I recently attended.
Beyond covering the basics of Claude Code in a textbook-like manner, what makes this book really stand out is that you can see what the author, Hirakawa-san, instructs Claude Code to do for a given requirement, and understand “what they’re thinking.” Even if you already know Claude Code well, reading from this perspective will teach you a lot. I certainly learned a great deal.
And I was fortunate enough to meet the author Hirakawa-san in person and have a conversation! What left a particularly strong impression was how they described their own book as being like DUO 3.0.
DUO 3.0 is a famous English vocabulary and phrase study book in Japan. While it can be used as a “vocabulary list,” its example sentences are excellent — by studying the sentences, you learn word meanings, usage, idioms, and set phrases all at once. In other words, the book is structured to help you learn English very efficiently.
I think “Introduction to AI-Driven Development with Claude Code” truly achieves learning efficiency similar to DUO 3.0. It’s not just a command reference or a collection of tips — you can see what prompts the author writes and how they interact with Claude Code while working on real tasks. Through these examples, you naturally pick up how to write prompts and develop your thinking process.
And just as DUO 3.0 isn’t a book you read once and put away, but rather one you keep at hand and refer to repeatedly, this book also helps you gradually sharpen your skills as you continue using Claude Code and keep coming back to it. It truly has value as a “practical textbook for development with Claude Code.”
I highly recommend it — both for those just starting with Claude Code and for experienced users who will surely find new insights.
